Abstract

|
This study categorized subjective perception on service quality Preferred by Users for elders by applying Q methodology on users of the daytime?nighttime care center for elders, and characteristics of each type were examined. The purpose of this study is to suggest a method of providing more high quality service to users based on this. Three types were deducted as the result of study. The type ¥° is ¡®quick service type (values providing prompt service) that perceives instant and quick reaction in providing service as important. The type ¥± is ¡®mother¡¯s arms type (values psychological support)¡¯ that users emphasize sympathetic and supportive efforts of a social worker such as listening to stories of users and understanding what they truly want. The ¥² is ¡®popeye type (values physical health and safety)¡¯ that has high interest in programs related to health for using the center and perceives service quality is high when the relevant services are provided.
